Onyx is seeking an Origination Analyst to join our growing and dynamic team as we work to create the bridge from today’s clean energy reality to tomorrow’s possibilities for commercial energy users throughout the country.
Responsibilities include client and industry segment research, creation of client marketing materials, financial modeling, proposal generation, assistance with project development, research and reporting on new technologies and markets. Daily work duties include maintaining a communications channel with teammates, clients, and external consultants. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for general reporting of lead generation progress to Onyx leadership, project equity investors and lenders. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow with the renewable energy industry.
Principal Responsibilities
- Create client presentation and pitch materials
- Edit and run project financial models
- Conduct market analysis and research to assist with lead generation strategy
- Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, and Finance to estimate model inputs and project assumptions.
- Assist with the drafting of RFP and RFQ responses
- Assemble varied bid/pitch documents for stakeholders of project opportunities
- Create meeting agendas and providing meeting minutes for team members
- Attend bid meetings, site walks, conferences, and other company activities
Required Education, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Curious personality with a willingness to learn and implement new products and services in an evolving clean energy industry
- Mindful, accountable, responsible, respectful and collaborative approach to work
- Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines
- Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast paced, and constantly evolving environment as well as extended hours, as required
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to walk construction job sites and work from a ladder when necessary
