Case Study: California Biotech Company
Onyx completed the installment of a 1.1MW solar and storage solution in California in 2021. This project supplied a PV+Storage integrated solution to reduce power costs and manage peak demand of the facility.
Project Background
- Onyx is owner and acting utility for a ~1MW rooftop project located in Northern California
- Onyx managed oversight of construction at the facility, inclusive of utilizing a large crane pic consisting of (6) 8-hour days of weekend work to accommodate for the facilities production areas and production schedules
- Onyx supported the facilities initiative of LEED GOLD Status, qualifying renewables on site that provided a cost offset of 5% of total energy cost of the facility
- Onyx complied and reported as required with all Safety OSCHA and CDC compliance regulation to maintain a construction schedule during the 2020 COVID Pandemic
