Onyx Renewable Partners and Telyon Announce Strategic Partnership to Develop 40-Megawatt Commercial & Industrial Solar Portfolio
The partnership between Onyx and Telyon brings together two industry-leading platforms that share a similar vision of helping global corporate customers meet and exceed their decarbonization initiatives.
NEW YORK, August 12, 2024— Today, Onyx Renewable Partners (Onyx) and Telyon announce a strategic partnership to develop 40 megawatts of distributed generation solar projects for commercial and industrial (C&I) businesses across the United States. These projects will support key global corporate customers in meaningfully lowering energy costs and achieving sustainability and carbon offset goals. Together, the two companies plan to leverage their expertise to provide C&I customers with sustainable, resilient, tailored distributed clean energy solutions and cost-effective energy to decarbonize their operations.
The first phase of this distributed generation portfolio, totaling just under 10 MW, has already commenced construction and consists of rooftop and ground-mount solar arrays at facilities across the western, central, and eastern United States. The first projects are expected to receive permission to operate later this year, and the companies expect many additional projects to break ground throughout the year. Each project capitalizes on underutilized space, namely on and around warehouse, logistics, distribution, and commercial buildings, allowing customers to seamlessly integrate clean energy solutions into their existing operations.
