Onyx welcomes our first employee from the Hiring Our Heroes program – LaTisha Phillips, Manager of Policy and Corporate Affairs

New York, New York - March 14, 2023

Onyx Renewables is proud to announce the addition of LaTisha Wayne Phillips to our team, who will serve as Manager of Policy and Corporate Affairs. LaTisha joins Onyx through the Hiring Our Heroes fellowship program, which connects the military community — service members, military spouses, and veterans — with US-based businesses to create economic opportunity and a strong, diversified workforce.

LaTisha brings with her a wealth of experience in intelligence, policy, analytical research and project management after a successful career in the military. She formally joins Onyx after completing a fellowship with the Project Development team in 2022. Prior to Onyx, she served as Chief of Legislative Affairs for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency within the US Army, where she enjoyed a career spanning 25 years as a Military Intelligence Officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Hiring Our Heroes is a nationwide initiative launched by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation in 2011 to help veterans, service members, and military spouses find meaningful opportunities as they transition to the next stage in their careers. Since its inception, the program has helped thousands of military personnel find employment in a variety of industries across the US.
